Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using Frond ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What Frond is
Frond is a local-first houseplant care tracker for iOS and Android, developed by Valtom. The app allows you to log plants, set care schedules, receive push notification reminders, and track care history. All data is stored locally on your device.
Your data
All plant data, care logs, photos, and settings you create in the app are stored on your device. You own this data. Frond does not collect, transmit, or have access to any of it. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for backing up your data using the app's export feature. If you delete the app or lose your device without a backup, your data cannot be recovered by us.
Purchases
Frond offers a free tier (up to 5 plants) and a one-time in-app purchase to unlock unlimited plants. This purchase is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) and is subject to their respective terms, refund policies, and pricing.
We do not process payments directly. For refund requests, please contact Apple or Google through their standard refund process.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Redistribute, sublicence, or resell the app
- Attempt to interfere with the app's intended functionality
Availability and updates
We may update the app from time to time to fix bugs, improve features, or comply with platform requirements. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may discontinue the app at any time. Since the app works offline and your data is stored locally, you will retain access to your data even if the app is no longer maintained.
Disclaimer of warranties
Frond is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, that care reminders will always fire on time, or that the app will be compatible with all devices. Use the app at your own discretion.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Valtom shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data or damage to plants.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, note the change in the app's release notes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
